Our debut CD "Impassionate Dreams" - available NOW!

Originally formed in 1989 as a rock and pop 5 piece, 2007 heralded a new phase for the band as they regrouped as a no holds barred 3 piece.

The Urban Poets do exactly as it says on the tin!! Blues, rock, soul and more blues and a bit of rocky soul!

As well as playing a wide variety of covers we have penned a few songs of our own. Our debut CD - Impassionate Dreams was released in December 2008.

If you are looking for some heartfelt blues or just a good time boogie then The Urban Poets will strike the right chord with you!

MoT
Guitars, Vocals , Harmonica
MoT - Telecaster Master

MoT ( eM Oh Tee ) has been plucking his guitar since the age of 14 and has played in several bands over the years playing a wide range of covers and a fair whack of self penned material. He has played support to The Sensational Alex Harvey , Bo Weevil and many indie bands over the years including One Size Fits All , Baby Bartok , Ranacanteen and the Yosemities .

Despite various forays into different styles Myles always returns to his natural state of the Blues - it rocks the soul!!

In the last decade Myles fronted two successful blues / rock outfits Demyjam and Medyl . Until the end of 2007 he could be found as the blues powerhouse of Edinburgh based blues band Rosyblue .
